About Us

Exact Zero is the latest music project from Mike Musson and Jay “Sizzle” DeLorenzo

The Exact Zero Story

Mike and Jay have been playing in bands together since 1998 which has given them time to hone in their skills and become dynamic writers and performers. Having been in several bands together over the years that didn’t last for various reasons, Mike and Jay decided to take a new approach. Utilizing Jay’s home studio (Breakthrough Studios) the guys started recording demos of some new music. As the songs came together Exact Zero was born.

The duo finished their first EP titled “The Jekyl Mask”, which follows the transformation of an addict from temptation, to falling, to redemption. Lyrically intense and musically dynamic, “The Jekyl Mask” is a rock and roll journey influenced by 20 years of music. The guys are currently booking shows and will be joined on stage by longtime friend and official live bassist, Brian Finney.

Song Lyrics

verse 1

Today I died a bit inside with a subtle compromise I gave a piece of me away And I sold myself a lie that everything would be just fine If I just looked the other way So I just let it slide because I’m not that bad a guy Could’ve been way worse anyway But just a step too far could leave a nasty scar So I will only play with fire just a little while because I know...

chorus

Shadows grow larger when you get out of sync with the light Shadows grow darker when day it gives way to the night

verse 2

Now it’s getting hard to find the tiny boundary line Between what’s wrong and right And when I’ve lost my mind and I start flying blind I can’t see black or white So I just kind of glide, let the winds of chance decide Where I crash this thing tonight When daylight melts away All color seems to fade

chorus

Shadows grow larger when you get out of sync with the light Shadows grow darker when day it gives way to the night

verse 1

I’m on the hunt I’m on your scene Baby run away don’t play with me Unless you came prepared and you’re armed to the teeth I’m not a man I’m a b-b-b-beast I don’t dance let’s have a seat Palm of my hand is where you can eat Gotta feed that id until I’m all you see Fatten you up time to f-f-f-feast Gain your trust time to feed the beast

chorus

Run run Run away You’ll be my meal if you choose to stay Run run right now Before my charm becomes a growl Run run you’re something new He’s got your scent and a taste for you But you’re still here and so my dear your greatest fear’s about to be your least Come and feed the beast

verse 2

Wolf at your door dressed like a sheep Mama don’t open up this ain’t no trick or treat Not looking for love just something sweet Get my fix and hit the b-b-b-beat

chorus

Run run Run away You’ll be my meal if you choose to stay Run run right now Before my charm becomes a growl Run run you’re something new He’s got your scent and a taste for you But you’re still here and so my dear your greatest fear’s about to be your least Come and feed the beast

bridge

{My what big eyes you have} Better to see you with {My what big ears you have} Better to hear you with {My what big teeth you have} Better to eat you with (hahahaha)

chorus

Run run Run away You’ll be my meal if you choose to stay Run run right now Before my charm becomes a growl Run run you’re something new He’s got your scent and a taste for you But you’re still here and so my dear your greatest fear’s about to be your least Come and feed the beast

verse 1

I’ve been walking in my sleep Motion without vision Down the one way, dead end street Of selfish ambition I’ve been soiling these sheets thinking I was trying To save the world but now I see I’m the one who’s dying

chorus

Wake me up you’re the Resurrector Save me from myself Shake me, scream, yeah do whatever It takes just wake me up

verse 2

I’ve been dreaming in the streets Chasing ghosts and visions Missing what’s within my reach Gripping apparitions I’ve been soiling these sheets thinking I was trying To save the world but now I see I’m the one who’s dying

chorus

Wake me up you’re the Resurrector Save me from myself Shake me, scream, yeah do whatever It takes just wake me up

verse 1

It seems I can never sleep with dirt on my hands And I can’t get clean I spend so much time in the mirror wondering who is staring at me Because I don’t recognize The angel in that smile; the devil in those eyes That I just can’t hide

verse 2

The face that you all see I’ve worn so frequently That I don’t know who I am Am I Jekyl, am I Hyde? It’s time to choose a side So I can find some peace Either way I’m letting go of this weight tied to my soul So I can finally sleep

verse 3

I’m gonna take this plastic grin and tear it from my skin To expose the beast within I know it’s hiding in the dark, shadows of my heart That I don’t want to see But I’ll take the hottest flame and set myself ablaze If the light will set me free Set me free The light is the truth and the truth will set you free

verse 1

With a rock in each hand you’ll bring this house down around us These walls of glass could never stand Up against the words written on their jagged surface They cut so much deeper than you planned But as I bleed my heart out of these wounds I hope you’ll find what lied inside And as I close my eyes I hope that you will take notice I never turned my back even as I died Oh-oh

Chorus

I am not afraid of all the hurt you own I can see right through to who (you are) You are not the sum of all the things you’ve done I can give you love that’s unconditional

verse 2

With a venomous tongue you’ll burn this bridge underneath us Because every curse just fuels the flame Until we’re face to face on either side of injustice You’ve got to kill what you’ve only maimed So aim your words, this time I will be looking So you can see love’s light in my eyes And as you open fire I hope that you will take notice I never turned my back even as I died Oh-oh

Chorus

I am not afraid of all the hurt you own I can see right through to who (you are) You are not the sum of all the things you’ve done I can give you love that’s unconditional

verse 1

This is a song I wrote for you When I still thought we’d rule the world We were the kings both you and me Atop the world we’d all but scream

Chorus

Whoa-oh oh oh (x6)

verse 2

I can still hear the echo from Our favorite songs escaping our lungs I miss the sound of harmony It’s not the same when one voice sings

Chorus

Whoa-oh oh oh (x6)

verse 3

I know that we can barely speak And maybe we will never sing Just know that there is always room For one more voice in this anthem

Chorus

Whoa-oh oh oh (x6)

What do you call an innovator in music that takes inspiration from every form of music? You call him Sixty. With his roots deep in the Harrisburg hip hop scene, Sixty has been reinventing the very definition of hip hop by sculpting soundscapes that inspire anyone who hears them.
If Harrisburg has a hip hop scene it is thanks to Knoxx. One of the hardest working artists in the state, Knoxx blends art and truth to bring hope through his music. Rapping about everything from love to social issues, Knoxx is a voice worth hearing.
Black the Sky was formed by former members of central PA stalwarts such as Adrian Blitzer, Drop of Grey and Serving the Industry. They started as a '90's grunge and alternative tribute but have since changed direction into a more original music direction. Check out a show and you will hear anything from original songs, to Metallica, Chevelle, Tool, Alice In Chains, Sevendust, and many more.
